Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains the limited storage technologies used by the Chalkline Reports website at launch. It distinguishes cookies from browser storage, confirms that no non-essential analytics or advertising cookies are enabled today, and explains the impact of browser-level controls.
Launch Tracking Position
No non-essential analytics or advertising cookies are enabled at launch.
If we later enable analytics, personalization, advertising, or other non-essential tracking technologies, this policy will be updated before those tools are relied on.
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how Chalkline Reports uses cookies and similar browser-side storage technologies on the website. It should be read alongside the Privacy Policy.
3. What is enabled at launch
| Technology | Purpose | Launch status |
|---|---|---|
| Essential request/session technologies | Support normal website delivery and server interactions required for the site to function. | Enabled where technically required. |
| sessionStorage fallback | Temporarily stores a same-session copy of the diagnostic result so the user can recover the instant result if navigation fails. | Enabled in the assessment flow. |
| Analytics cookies | Used by many websites to measure usage, traffic, and conversion behavior. | Not enabled at launch. |
| Advertising or remarketing cookies | Used to track users across sites for marketing, ad attribution, or retargeting. | Not enabled at launch. |
4. Session storage in the assessment flow
The assessment flow uses sessionStorage as a short-lived browser fallback so the immediate result page can recover from a failed navigation in the same browser session.
This fallback is short-lived. It is intended only to support the current browser session and does not create an enduring hosted record by itself.
5. Your browser controls
Most browsers allow you to block or clear cookies and site data. If you disable all storage features, some parts of the site may still render but the assessment fallback behavior may not work as designed.
Clearing browser session data may remove any locally stored same-session result fallback before you revisit it.
6. Future changes
We may update this policy if the launch tracking posture changes, if we introduce analytics, or if the assessment workflow begins relying on different storage technologies.
